Summer Holiday Festival Winners
Posted on Aug 06, 2021We’d like to say a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who took part in our Summer Holiday Festival! Going on holiday this summer has proven to be a challenging task with travel restrictions making it hard to go abroad and a lack of availability meaning that even UK holidays have been hard to come by.
You helped us to make the most of this Great British Summer by submitting your amazing Penny Post Passports and sharing your holiday experiences! We’ve loved reading your witty holiday tips, hearing your favourite holiday destinations, and seeing your beautiful holiday photos! You all have made out 25th Anniversary summer celebrations truly special and have helped to brighten up this dull summer! It’s now time to reveal the winners of our Summer Holiday Festival…
Stuart Platt from Wolverhampton was the lucky winner of our £250 voucher prize! Stuart has worked for the Royal Mail for over 10 years and joined Penny Post in 2019. He said “I’m shocked! It’s so nice to get something back” when we asked him how he felt about winning his £250 prize! People helping people is what Stuart appreciates most about Penny Post, “It’s nice to see a company bringing colleagues together for the greater good!” said Stuart. Congratulations to the winners of our summer hamper prizes! Maria from Deeside our ‘Top Tips’ hamper winner said, “I’m so pleased, I don’t think I’ve ever won anything in my life except for perhaps an Easter egg!” Maria’s winning tip was ‘Talk with other holidaymakers to find the easy & quick routes around the resort & hotel facilities!’ – what a great tip!
Kevin Evans from Redhill, our ‘new member’ winner, joined Penny Post in June. Kevin said “I’m very shocked and happy to have won – normally you get calls trying to scam you!” As Kevin identified, scams are on the rise and are increasing in complexity, and protecting our members from fraud is extremely important to us and is part of our ‘People helping People’ ethos. Read our ‘Take Five to stop fraud’ blog to see how you can protect yourself from preventable financial fraud.
Penny Post is an easy way to save money and help to improve your financial resilience. “Money goes straight into my saving account, and I don’t even have to think about it” said the lucky member from Herne Bay, our 250th entrant hamper winner!
