Charissa get’s engaged!

Exciting news! Charissa gets engaged!

Congratulations to Penny Post Loan Officer, Charissa Roswess, and her fiancé Takiwai Pendenque (known as ‘T’), on announcing their engagement! We catch up with Charissa to find out more about the proposal, her wedding plans and the future.

How did you meet?

Charissa and ‘T’ met on a Dating App in February 2020 just before Covid Lockdown. “I fell in love within weeks of dating” says a beaming Charissa, “and decided we had to be together for the lockdown period! Two years later he proposed to me on the Greek Island, Santorini, a day after my older sister got married there.”

How did T propose & were you surprised?

“At the bottom of a winding staircase accompanied by one of my favourite songs, T was down on one knee asking me to be his wife” remembers Charissa. “It was the most memorable moment I will never forget. I was surprised and overwhelmed with delight, but most of all extremely happy as I had finally met the love of my life. He has come and changed my whole world, it’s so amazing.”

When are you getting married?

Charissa & T are getting married in July next year. “We’re planning to have a beautiful traditional wedding still including our Caribbean culture, all in a recently renovated barn conversion in Stafford” continues Charissa. “My sister said she dreamt my wedding was full of dancing, which is exactly how I pictured it!”

What are you looking forward to?

“I am most looking forward to spending the rest of my life with T. After completing the CU Futures course this spring, I’m also looking forward to my career progression with Penny Post, and enjoying juggling my work life balance.”

“T has made me the happiest women in the world and shown the same love to my son, Isaiah. I’m truly blessed and honoured to become his wife. We have such a special love language, and he understands my every move. Happy wife, happy life!!”

Congratulations again, Charissa and T, we’re all so excited for you!
