When you join Penny Post, we automatically open a Regular Shares account for you. By joining, you become a member of Penny Post Credit Union, and also a shareholder – hence this account is known as a ‘share account’.

Things you should know
  • Members not saving by Payroll Deduction, can do so by setting up a Standing Order straight from their bank
  • Pay in funds at any time by payroll deduction, standing order, or bank transfer
  • Like all Penny Post saving accounts, members’ money is protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) currently to the value of £85,000. For more information visit the FSCS website.
Terms & Conditions
  • Members must save at least £2 weekly or £10 monthly to remain a Penny Post member.
  • A £1 minimum balance must remain in the Regular Shares at all times.
  • Savings earn an Annual Dividend*.
  • The total balance in all your Penny Post saving accounts cannot exceed £50,000.
  • Other terms and conditions may apply.
