Highly Commended for the West Midlands

Penny Post were awarded ‘highly commended’ at the National Apprenticeship Awards for the West Midlands!

Helen, our Learning and Development Officer, Hannah, Customer Service Team Leader and Tanya, Customer Service Administrator, attended the National Apprenticeship Awards for the West Midlands last week, and we are proud to share that Penny Post were awards ‘highly commended’ in the Small to Medium Employer category!

Reflecting on the good news, Hannah said “Having been an apprentice previously, it was so rewarding to be part of the awards ceremony. It was inspiring to be surrounded by so many talented people and to hear about their career journeys so far. I was so pleased when Penny Post were awarded as ‘highly commended’, we really do have a great team of apprentices!”

The National Apprenticeship Awards were celebrating their 20th anniversary so there was some stiff competition, so Penny Post were proud to be nominated! Lloyd’s Banking Group, who were also nominated at the West Midlands Awards, have 1,300 apprentices and one even won the ‘rising star’ award last year!

There were lots of laughs shared throughout the day, and Tanya told us “It was enlightening to speak with the other finalists about their apprenticeship journey. I joined Penny Post as a Customer Service apprentice back in 2019, and I really enjoyed sharing my experience too. We all agreed that apprenticeships can be challenging but are so rewarding too.”

Being awarded ‘Highly Commended‘ for the West Midlands Regional Finals at the National Apprenticeship Awards is great news for the whole team, and we are so proud of all our apprentices, past and present!
