Cannock Posties raise money for Mind
Posted on Aug 14, 2023We were pleased to make a donation to Mind earlier this month, to support the ‘Captains Cup’ and help encourage mental health awareness.
Postal workers at the Cannock Royal Mail delivery office held a charity football match, the Captains Cup, to raise funds for Mind, the mental health charity, in memory of their special colleague.
The Captains Cup was created in memory of Cannock delivery office colleague Tim Devall, who everyone referred to as ‘Captain’, hence the event name. Charlie Allen, postman at the Cannock delivery office thought of the idea, and said supporting Mind was really important to everyone.
The teams were made up of managers and warehouse workers, boys and girls, and took pace at 5’s Pavilion and Sports Ground in Hednesford, on Sunday 6th August.
