Another successful Annual General MeetingPosted on Feb 04, 2022
Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual General Meeting on Sunday, 30th January 2022 for the financial year ending 30th September 2021.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, this was once again a virtual meeting. 60 members joined us from across the UK, from as far afield as Bridport, Colwyn Bay, Southampton, Shoreham by Sea, Camberley and Fort Augustus as you can see on the map!
Attendees heard from our President, Dave Jones, our Vice-President, Graham Jones, and our CEO, Matt Goulding. Members learnt how our 25th Anniversary year had been another successful year for Penny Post, despite the ongoing pandemic.
During the meeting, members agreed the dividend proposal and elected the Board of Directors. Dividends have now been credited to members’ accounts. Please remember, this dividend refers to the period from 1st October 2020 to 30th September 2021, so does not apply to members for who’ve joined since.
It’s always great to hear feedback from members, including these comments from those attending the meeting –
- ‘Really impressed with the format of the AGM, very professional and seamless. I feel privileged that I continue to be a member. May the year ahead be as successful as the previous.’
- ‘The 25th Anniversary e-Book was a lovely celebration of our history and is well worth a browse.’
- ‘A well organised and conducted meeting. Thank you.’
Congratulations to Carlonie Barnett from Wolverhampton, the lucky winner of the AGM Prize Draw. The draw took place live during the meeting, and Carlonie won a £100 One4All Gift Card. “It was such a lovely surprise to hear that I had won the prize draw as I wasn’t expecting it at all!” said Carlonie. “Penny Post have been amazing over the years to me and my mum, who worked for Royal Mail for over 25 years! [Penny Post] really value their members! Thanks so much!” We hope Carlonie treats herself with her prize!
Those members who attended the full meeting received a small Goody Box by post after the event.

Thank you again to everyone who took the time to attend.
